N12 Coolshannagh roundabout to Silverstream will be closed from 6pm to 6am until 24th Oct to facilitate Road Pavement Rehabilitation Works, diversions in place.

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal Districts of Monaghan in County Monaghan.

Dates of Closure: October 20^th 2025 to November 14^th 2025 inclusive.                                          

Road Closed: National Primary Road N12, from Coolshannagh to Silverstream.

Times: 09.00am – 18.00pm October 27^th to November 14^th and 18.00pm – 06.00am October 20^th to October 24^th

To Facilitate: Road Pavement Rehabilitation Works.

Diversion Routes: Eastbound Diversion- travel south from the Coolsahannagh roundabout along the N2 to its junction with the N54 (Corlat Roundabout), then east along the N2 to its junction with the R214 (Castleshane), then north along the R213 to its junction with the N12. End of detour.

Westbound Diversion - Above route in reverse.

Diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

Local access will be provided.

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than XX October2025. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection to Road Closure”.

This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)
