Residential Zoned Land Tax - SUBMISSION DEADLINE 1ST April 2025

Monaghan County Council has published a final 2025 map identifying lands that maybe liable for this tax in 2025. Owners of such land may make a request to Monaghan County Council to change the zoning of this land. If certain conditions are met, a landowner may be exempt from the 2025 liability on foot of such a request. 

The draft map identifying lands that may be liable for the tax in 2026 has also been published. Submissions regarding the inclusion of lands on this draft map can also be made.

Deadline for submissions and rezoning requests is 1 April 2025.
